PROGRAM RECOGNITIONS

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy is a four-year program that produces professionals who promote optimal health and function by providing services that develop, maintain and restore maximum movement and functional ability for people whose movement and function are threatened by ageing, injury, diseases, disorders, conditions or environmental factors. The program culminates in a one-year comprehensive internship program that allows students, while supervised by a licensed professionals, to work within the health spheres of promotion, prevention, treatment/intervention, habilitation and rehabilitation with the goal of helping people maximize their quality of life.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

  1. Physical therapy clinician in various settings such as hospitals, out-patient physical therapy clinics, private practice, home health care services, athletic and sports training facilities, skilled nursing facilities, hospices, corporate and industrial settings
  2. Educator in academic, clinical, research or community settings
  3. Researcher
  4. Consultant in government/non-government agencies advising in the areas of health and wellness promotion, disability prevention/management, rehabilitation program, accessibility and advocacy

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy is a four-year program that produces client-centered health professionals who are concerned with promoting health and well-being, with the primary goal of engaging individuals and population in occupation to facilitate participation in culturally meaningful activities and tasks, and address physical, developmental, social, or emotional problems.   The program culminates in a one-year internship program that allows students to work hand in hand with clients of all ages to increase independence, enhance development, and/or prevent disability through their involvement in activities that are therapeutically designed to promote occupational performance. They also work with different communities and organizations to enable just and inclusive society for all in order to facilitate the realization of one’s potential in leading an independent, productive and satisfying life.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

  1. Occupational therapy consultant or clinician in diverse facility-based and community-based practice settings such as hospitals, clinics, day and rehabilitation centers, community mental health centers, skilled nursing facilities, home  health care, school systems and special education programs, industry and private enterprises
  2. Educator and researcher in the academe
  3. Clinical Educator
  4. Consultant in government/non-government agencies advising in the areas of health promotion, disability prevention/management, accessibility, vocation/health planning, rehabilitation program and inclusive development, and advocacy building and sustainable livelihood for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs)

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy is a multi-faceted four-year program, as mandated by the Pharmacy Law, as amended, and is composed of general education courses, core courses, and professional pharmacy courses. This program enables students to acquire technical and practical experience in the areas of Community, Hospital, Public Health and Regulatory Pharmacy, Manufacturing Pharmacy, and Research.

The program aims to provide the country with pharmacists who are scientifically and morally competent to deliver the full spectrum of pharmaceutical service consistent with international standards, in the community, pharmaceutical industry, health centers, drug information centers, and laboratories.
